About Astro Wars
Astro Wars is a Free Multiplayer Space Strategy Game. You start at the edge of the galaxy where you can build up, colonize and take over planets in competition with players from all over the world!
You can decide various strategies and take over new areas in the galaxy by building piece by piece.
Astrowars wants to achieve:
fair play.
communication between players.
social interaction between players.
epic battles in the end.
a game requiring strategic and diplomatic skills to win.
easy to learn and interesting in the long run.
Astrowars does not want to achieve:
multis and cheaters.
no communication.
a big single player game where the only interaction is to compare points.
all about the first player/alliance to win.
a game where a single player with perfect build up skills can win with no contacts.
difficult to learn and becomes boring.

They tell you that new players have a 24 day protection window to build up and learn the game but that was a lie, got taken out within a day or two with nothing i could do about it6 found this helpful
it is very slow to get going and not real clear on hot to play unless you slog through player guides, nothing really in game. No protection for new players to get set up. Most other players are friendly, but will crush you with no warning2 found this helpful
Game is buggy. Hard to run it from an iphone as the battel royal keeps disappearing. Tried to help a friend by having him log in from my account, it replaced mine with his and now we both can't do battle royale. Tried running his account from various devices, too many issues.
Note: Dead PvP game This game contains no meaningful single player content. There's no viably populated servers/active player population. This game cannot be played as intended.

Warning: In-Game Cash Shop This game is infested with a toxic mobile app style cash shop. You will be prompted to and expected to give money/credit card details to the developers through this cash shop to buy in-game goods so you can play the game.
Astro Wars is not to be confused with the 1980's childrens electronic toy of the same name, but you could confuse it with a browser game, because that's what it looks like. Thematically ripping off Master Of Orion but with a much shallower set of gameplay, this is just a menu clicker where you have to use your imagination to pretend you're running a star empire and you also have to pretend there's other players, because in reality there are none. Because this is garbage. So, "Astro Wars" is a dead PvP game. Why did it fail? It's video game autopsy time! Almost every PvP exclusive game on Steam fails. Only a tiny proportion of them "go viral".…
I don't know what was so broken that making an account in the first place doesn't even work but that should not be on the player to have to deal with. "Your character name has illegal characters" was either referencing the characters of the alphabet I used in my ruler name or the email at outlook I've been using for years. I can't imagine english is so tough that they meant it was the friggin password but if it's breaking this early in the process, I can't imagine how the rest of the experience must be. Hard pass.
