Once you launch the game for yourself, it's not difficult to see how many of this game's background sprites are AI-generated.
I literally came across Aurelia while scrolling through Steam in search of pixel-style games, and the by reading the reviews, it convinced me to give it a try. Having not played NSFW games before (on pc) I was curious to see what this title had to offer. To my surprise, it turned out to be peak. The story pacing is tight and constantly pulls you forward with that “what’s going to happen next?” feeling. It never drags, and the writing is strong enough to keep you hooked from start to finish. Visually, the game is a treat. The pixel art is beautifully crafted, though I am not sure if AI shortcuts were used. Some scenes appear rotoscoped, but it blends well with the overall aesthetic. The soundtrack and sound effects complement the atmosphere, though the visuals and narrative remain the standout features. There are multiple romanceable NPCs, which adds replayability, though not all of them are equally compelling. Personally, I disliked Crystal and Janet despite their prominence as cover characters, while Lily and Erza felt repetitive. Scarlet, on the other hand, was my favorite route.
