The year is 1955 and you are a farmer living in Iowa in this text based game. The goal is to get to new york so you can make extra profits on your grain, but traversing the Eisenhower highway system can prove to be difficult as many challenges await you on the road so good luck to all, and thank god for automobiles and the Eisenhower highway system.

Игра "Automobiels and the Eisenhower Hiway System the Game" – неожиданный глоток свежести в жанре экономических стратегий. Сначала кажется, что перед тобой обычный тайкун про строительство дорог и автозаводов. Однако погружение в эпоху 1950-х и специфику американской экономики послевоенного периода добавляет глубины и шарма. Необходимо не только строить заводы и прокладывать автомагистрали, но и учитывать потребительские предпочтения, политическую обстановку и даже культурные тренды. Баланс между производством дешевых и дорогих автомобилей, развитие соcудостроительной промышленности и соблюдение норм безопасности – каждый аспект требует продуманного подхода. Графика, хоть и не поражает воображение, выполнена в приятном ретро-стиле, а интерфейс интуитивно понятен. Впрочем, сложный экономический механизм может отпугнуть новичков, но тех, кто готов потратить время на освоение, ждет увлекательное и познавательное приключение в мире автомобильной индустрии середины XX века. Жаль только, что нет локализации на русский язык. Рекомендую!

This game is more tense than it has any right to be. Imagine you have $60, half a tank of gas, and you're tired: Do you buy gas and risk falling asleep at the wheel? Do you check into a hotel and risk getting stranded? Do you save the money in case you cross a toll road? All of these are bad options because you're at the mercy of random events. It's like a slot machine, and addictive in the same way.
