About Awake
Awake is an isometric puzzle game about a young girl named Aya who is suffering from insomnia. Accompanied by her trusted plushie Bunnard, Aya must navigate various obstacles in her path as she moves between different planes of consciousness. Join Aya on her journey to explore the depths of her dreamscape and uncover the root of her anxieties.

"Awake" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. This abandoned Early Access student project wasn't made with gamers in mind, heck, it wasn't made with PC gamers in mind either, this was obviously intended to be a mobile app. Once more Steam has no use for these people other than a dumping ground for garbage they can stroke their egos about. Nothing of value was delivered to us gamers here, we don't need more Early Access abandonware pollution. It's also bad for amateur …3 found this helpful
Great free game, but not without its flaws. ➕ The art style is great and cutscenes are fully animated. ➕ Puzzles aren't very difficult, and mechanics are minimal yet effective. ➖ There is some semblance of a story, but it isn't closely relevant with the gameplay and is mostly confusing fillers. ➖ Controls feel like they were built for a different genre, such as a walking sim or 3D platformer, instead of a generic tile-based puzzle game. Puzzle elements rely solely on collision to function, making them slow to interact with and buggy at times. The game is still in EA, but the story and gameplay seem complete. The only "coming soon" was a "stickers" feature, which I assume is what the unexplained collectibles in levels would have been. Oh, and: ➕ Your dream buddy is a rabbit. Don't know what the game is actually like, barely even make it past the intro. The unnecessarily long pauses/blank screens annoyed me. I wasn't sitting through that for the entire game. Also don't like that i couldn't use WASD to move
