I really liked this installment of the franchise! It was little me's favourite, and it's nice to see how the art style starts to slowly evolve from the first game. Though...there seemed to be a glitch where the visuals refused to be shown in full screen despite the buttons being registered as such. It's also a prominent issue for some of the other titles, but they're rectified by launching it through Steam instead of the shortcut on your desktop. It's just specifically egregious/unfixable here unfortunately.

This game was my whole childhood and it never occurred to me that it was a Saga. I love the whole set, and it is just beautiful. The story line is great, the point and click adventure is exciting, and honestly its something I can relax to. Seriously recommend.

i loved it, it's got better puzzle mechanics than the first two games, and i'm a big fan of the awakening series

Worse than the second, better than the first. Overall, meh. Pros: Nice art Decent story Puzzle difficulty is good, not too hard, not too easy, mostly The HO scenes are great Cons: Still no map or fast travel, and this one has some loooong elevator animations between zones Crashes every time I exit to main menu Puzzles rely on the made-up alphabet a bit too much. Puzzles are also very repetitive, you often have to do 3 iterations in a row, and then the same puzzle shows up again later, 3 more times. Hints are still useless at times. They just point out something that's interactable (eventually) in your current scene instead of guiding to the actual next step. Bugs - in HO scenes, objects that are yellow are supposed to be hidden, but often times objects that are not yellow are too. There are a lot of puzzles where you have a draw following a line, and they are very very picky about it. Too picky. Overall I found myself skipping puzzles a lot in this one when that's something I rarely do. Mostly because they were repetitive.

Awakening: The Goblin Kingdom is the third installment of the Awakening series, and it just might be my favorite of the bunch. It shares the same beautiful art style and narration as the previous games, but this time the puzzles are perfectly balanced between being challenging and fun.
