Backrooms: New Gate

i think i ended up refunding this the first time i played it, but gave it second chance now that its apparently fully released. they say on steam page that "No stressful chases, no overwhelming dangers", but there definetly is monster chases, i got jumpscared by 2 of them. at least the pitch black dead end maze area chase from first level was removed. there was couple actually really cool areas in the game that i really enjoyed vibing with, but as a whole its not that great. im giving it thumbs up for those few cool areas though.

A different and somewhat unique take on the Poolrooms. Overall, very enjoyable!

This game is perfect for me or anyone who likes similar style of these backrooms/poolrooms 👍 Good parts: - Fresh new take on the backrooms - Triggers deep water, sea creature, and dark hole phobias really well - Being curious and looking around is rewarding, since exploration actually shows you something - No annoying entity‑chasing mechanics 👎 Bad parts: - Still in early access - Dying resets you completely back to zero, would be better if respawning near the death point was possible. I'm super excited for this game to be finished!

Fantastic game. I finished level one, but it did not go to level 2. it just started back at level 1.

A pretty good entry to the Backrooms style games (it was my first). The designs and visuals are great, in some cases amazing. There were many times I was legit creeped out. I only with there was more to interact with, more interesting random things to see/find that are or or not clues, and maybe more entity interaction.
