A very nice unexpected update. Still no menu/graphic options. Just low, med and high quality. No head bob removal either. There is a continue if you die. You start from the beginning of that level. But if you actually quit. Start all over again. For the most part the changes were good. The playroom/daycare center, birthday area...... I was not a fan of it. A mix of, frustration and somewhat unfair. (For me at least.) ran through that whole entire area backwards. If new levels are to be added in the future, then there needs to be a level select. I'm not doing that area again. Anyway. Still a good Backrooms experience for me. The price right now is really good. My total playtime is from when this first released.2 found this helpful

This game has potential. Some of the graphics and aesthetics in certain levels really capture the kind of atmosphere you’d expect from Kane Pixels’ Backrooms style. That said, there are a few issues holding it back: - You can’t remap the controls, which makes the game painful to play, (especially on an AZERTY keyboard) - The Mall level is completely bugged (hole in texture/ unfinished) and doesn’t really capture the Valley View Center vibe from Kane Pixels’ videos. - The Rolling Giant has been replaced by a random creature/object that doesn’t even look similar to him. - In the whole game the threat level is almost nonexistent. The game feels too empty, but not in an oppressive or unsettling way. In an environment like the Backrooms, you should feel trapped, watched, or uncomfortable. Instead, you can just run around without ever feeling like something might catch you off guard. - There aren’t enough levels, i understand that adding new levels takes time, but it feels like the developers abandoned the game and moved on at this point. There’s a solid foundation here, but it needs better polish, a stronger atmosphere, and more actual tension.1 found this helpful

Looks like the film, love this game and kane pixels universe!!
The games visuals are gennerly good andmake sense, i really liked the poolroom design overall. But some of the levels feel just like cheap asset flips, the mall level is bugged out and just wrong. Cutting down on the cheapest parts of the game(level fun etc) leaves you with a pretty solid backrooms expericne. Overall it was pretty alright and the highpoints made it a good game for what it was. But the tie breaker that makes me have to for the momment at least make it a negative review is, that there are no settings beyond low, medium and high graphics. My mouse sens was way too high and i had no way to fix it, the camera bob is also dumb. Very easy to have settings to accomodate this.
