Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II

The game is a classic, but I absolutely cannot recommend it at the current price. Doubly so given the publisher’s strategy of rapid and massive price increases for decades old games without significant (or any) additional development effort. The new “Interplay” is not a real publisher - they don’t publish new games, they are just the corpse of Interplay being sock-puppeted by venture capitalists. Nobody who actually made the game sees a cent from sales at current ridiculous prices - it’s purely an attempt to renormalize the price of ancient games. Given their actions since my purchase, I would refund BG:DA2 if I could. As it is, I’ve removed all “Interplay” games from my wishlist until they return to reasonable pricing.

Great game, instantly got sucked into it. Playing this game brought me back to those wonderful after school days, where momma dukes just finished cooking, toonami was on TV, and life was great. San Andreas, Champions of Norath, And both Dark Alliances were played so often my PS2 needed to be replaced twice. This game is an amazing introduction to the genre and i could not recommend it enough. but 40$? Absolutely not, This game was originally made in 2005, the fact that the developers are price gouging a 20 year old game is absolutely disgusting. Even Bethesda knows their limits. SKYRIM. If you know , you know. But me? im a fool who would pay 40$ for 25 minutes of nostalgia. Do not be me, be someone who isnt a complete ******.

old school cool dark alliance 1 and 2 are awesome and worth playing even in todays gaming world.the camera mechanics are well thought out and work very well.the controls and storyline also work well.i would recommend these games with 2 thumbs up. Happy Gaming Carl.................

played the first one as a kid and loved it, but never got to play this game. this is a good port of a good game, 8/10

Hey kiddo, Handsome Jack here... and I just played Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II, and honestly? This is exactly the kind of fantasy nonsense I can get behind. You pick a hero, walk into a dungeon, and immediately start murdering everything that moves while collecting approximately twelve thousand pieces of equipment that you're never going to use. Finally, a game with proper corporate values. The combat is simple, fast, and ridiculously satisfying. You walk into a room, see some goblins, skeletons, or whatever unfortunate creature happens to live there, and you turn them into a fine red paste. No complicated negotiations. No diplomacy. No lengthy meetings. Just hit the thing until it stops moving. Beautiful. And the loot! Oh, kiddo, the loot. Every five seconds you're finding another sword, helmet, ring, potion, or piece of armor. Your inventory becomes a complete disaster almost immediately. You start thinking, “I'll just keep the good stuff,” and twenty minutes later you're standing in a dungeon carrying enough equipment to open a small retail store. The characters are fun too. You've got barbarians, necromancers, rogues, monks, and enough different ways to kill things that …
