Key Features
- Become part of a reactive, living and vast open world. Explore many different environments, fight all kinds of fantastical creatures and discover tons of desirable items.
- Experience gripping party- and turn-based combat. Manipulate the environment and use skill & spell combos to overcome your many foes: Use magic to make it rain on your enemies, then cast a lightning spell to fry them to a crisp. Whether you're uncovering hidden secrets, tackling optional quests, or experimenting with different character builds, the game constantly rewards your curiosity1 found this helpful
there are just WAY too many negatives in this game to be called bad let alone 'good'! from the stupid dialog.. where you get a negative rep for saying the most mundane things! to the way combat is done (you have to 'explore' areas to find enemy, then you constantly have to replay combat scenarios to find out whether you're 'up to spec' in order to do them), to how the group/solo thing is 'activated' (you should be able to switch with ease.. but they want you to manually connect/disconnect each individual! how about a group all?!? so many better ways to do this than the one they've chosen.. just moronic devs with little UI experience/knowledge/practicality/etc! then there is post combat, where there is a pool of poison.. you have the party in 'group' mode.. you go to pick up something close to the pool (but dont go in) and one or more of the party step in the poison! absolute morons.. the devs should be pathing these avatars properly.. I shouldnt have to manually put it in single mode so the others avoid something because of stupid dev mechanics! then there is the 'time tested' pick up everything you see.. some items show as red (stealing) others white (open slather).. you pick u…1 found this helpful

It's alright by me
Divinity: Original Sin (Classic) is the kind of RPG where creativity is often more powerful than your sword. From the very beginning, the game encourages experimentation. You can combine spells, manipulate the environment, solve quests in multiple ways, and build your characters however you like. Setting poison on fire or electrifying a puddle never gets old. 🔥⚡ The turn-based combat is fantastic. Every battle rewards planning, positioning, crowd control, and smart use of the environment rather than simply having better gear. Winning a difficult fight feels incredibly satisfying. 🛡️🧙 Exploration is equally rewarding. Rivellon is full of hidden treasures, memorable characters, clever quests, and secrets around nearly every corner. Even random conversations can lead to unexpected adventures. 🗺️💎 Some quests are intentionally vague, inventory management can become tedious, and the Classic version lacks many of the quality-of-life improvements found in the Enhanced Edition. Even so, it's still one of the best old-school RPGs ever made. ⭐ I started trying to solve quests normally... then accidentally burned down half the battlefield and somehow that counted as a succ…
Developed and published by Larian Studios, Divinity: Original Sin (Classic) is a role-playing game that embraces the traditions of classic CRPGs while introducing modern mechanics that emphasize freedom, strategy, and player choice. Instead of guiding players down a single linear path, the game presents an expansive fantasy world where exploration, experimentation, and thoughtful decision-making shape the adventure. Every location is packed with secrets, memorable characters, and optional discoveries, making each journey feel unique. The game's design encourages players to think creatively rather than simply follow quest markers, rewarding curiosity with meaningful encounters and valuable rewards. The story follows two Source Hunters investigating the use of the forbidden magic known as Source. What begins as a murder investigation gradually evolves into a much larger conflict involving ancient civilizations, powerful beings, and the fate of the world itself. The narrative unfolds at a steady pace, allowing players to uncover lore through conversations, books, side quests, and exploration instead of relying solely on cinematic storytelling. The world feels alive thanks to its colo…
