What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the engaging combat system, creative spell and physics mechanics, and nostalgic appeal, with some calling it a standout game even decades later. However, the game suffers from significant technical issues on modern systems including frequent crashes, bugs, and optimization problems, alongside some gameplay elements that haven't aged as well as the core mechanics.
I was born in the early 90s, and I was 15 when this game came out. I absolutely loved it, especially the combat system, skills, and story. It is still one of my favorite games.3 found this helpful

This is one of those games that I really wish would get a remake or at least a remaster. Arkane have always been amazing at making these awesome playgrounds with magic and physics where you can mess around and already with this as their second game they nailed it. With that being said, playing this game today there can be a lot of issues. First and most prominent is the technical side. This game is prone to bugs and crashes and is just not optimised for modern systems unfortunately so expect some jank to be present. Also some parts of the game haven't aged as gracefully as some other games. This game is absolutely still fun today though and the physics and spells are so much fun but just be warned that it may not run well and that the game definitely feels a little bit outdated. Apart from that if you can get the game to work then I reckon you will have a lot of fun!
nothing in this game is particularly worth it but the combat feels amazing. Genuinely no other reason to play it
