I adored the previous platformer game Male Doll did and am really happy they did another platformer game, Baracop! I am not that great at platformers but I managed to do it! I recommend using a controller over the keyboard. I enjoyed all the scenes and pixel art the game has. The boss battles were challenging and rewarding to beat. I like the motorcycle chase mini game a lot, hopefully more of that in the future!7 found this helpful
Premise This review reflects my personal experience with the game. While I aim to write thoughtfully and as fairly as possible, my reviews are subjective in nature and should not be used as objective metrics to assess/critique a game. Writing & Story — ★★★☆☆ You play as Baracop, moving through levels to take down enemies and push toward a final boss. The setup is straightforward. You are here to clear stages and deal with the enemies that spawn near you using a variety of weapons that you progressively acquire as you defeat bosses. There are no routes or branching paths in the usual sense; as a platformer, what you get is a sequence of stages with bosses that mark progression. There is a story, albeit it is not the focus of the game and it is quite simple. You are a cop working for the police to restore equil…5 found this helpful
It's okay, the pixelart is nice. It's basically Mega Man with lewd pixel art/animations and more static level design (no platforms that drop, no invisible platforms that reveal themselves in order and require precise timing to ascend and progress; which is either a positive or negative depending on how you look at it, as a game its' bad but it doesn't get in the way of unlocking more lewd stuff). The main gun's sound effects really don't fit the actual shooting. And I found the extra weapons pretty underwhelming, quick shooting the default weapon worked out best for me. Some of the boss moves are a bit tight to jump over with the height of your jump, but nothing too crazy is going on. I do find it odd the easy difficulty wouldn't just replenish your special ammos after death. I probably would've experimented more with them, but apart from the screen killing one in a few annoying areas with too many enemies I just didn't bother with them as a result. There's no way to view the images in the game. There's a gallery, but it only shows the animations you can do with various different enemies you defeat. Unless I'm blind. But it was pretty fun and enjoyable.3 found this helpful
x-- 6.9 / 10 --x It's cute, it's gay, and it's fun. What more do you want?
