Boy Next Door, developed by Nikita “Ghost_RUS” and published by Ghost_RUS Games, is a small, tongue-in-cheek indie title that blends absurd humor, arcade-style gameplay, and adult-themed overtones into a compact and intentionally provocative experience. Like many of Ghost_RUS’s projects, it doesn’t take itself too seriously, instead embracing its outrageous premise and low-budget charm. The game’s protagonist, Van, sets out for what should be an ordinary night at a gay club, only to find himself pursued by a relentless mob of muscular men blocking his path. From there, the player’s only objective is to run, dodge, and survive the chaos long enough to reach the club, turning what could have been a simple concept into a deliberately exaggerated and comedic escape sequence. The premise walks a fine line between parody and sincerity, borrowing the tone of a classic arcade runner but infusing it with the kind of surreal humor that has become the developer’s signature.
