Baradroid - A Gay Visual Novel

On paper, that premise honestly sounded much stronger than what the game actually delivers. 🎮 Gameplay & Genre Baradroid is a short sci-fi visual novel with light dating sim elements. You play Evan, an AI graduate student participating in an experiment that involves living with advanced androids designed to better understand human emotion. Gameplay follows a fairly traditional visual novel structure, with dialogue choices guiding the story toward one of two very different endings. A single run takes roughly 3–4 hours, and replaying for the alternate ending adds some additional value. When the game first released it suffered from a progression bug that could halt gameplay entirely, but that issue has since been fixed and the game now runs smoothly. The developer has also been responsive to bug reports, which is always appreciated in smaller VN projects. The Wardrobe Expansion DLC is essentially required to get the most out of the experience. It allows customization of the Baradroid sprites, including body features and visual details that make the characters feel much more personal. TLDR : This really puts the novel in visual novel. I would like some more big hot sweaty gays with my Warhammer 40,000 words please. It wasn't terrible, but I have played better. The world building was bigger than the actual story, which gave the illusion of choice but you do only get to romance Mr.Sideburns Ayden. The other reason choices are important in novels like this is sometimes scenes are for specific audiences. I'm not kink shaming, but Edward Dildohands was a bit weird, you know, the interchangeable robot ♥♥♥♥♥ for fingers scene? Yeah, I am kink asking why. You had three big hot robot guys who would do whatever you wanted and you didn't spitroast the protagonist while another took the cuck gaming chair? Shame.

Not bag overall. I like the main character and the theme. I wish the game would not just lock you up onto one character that you didn't even choose (and, well, the most dramatic and annoying one...). The backgrounds are good, except the lighting (shading) could be a bit better in some places. The characters don't look very consistent across CGs for some reason, like, I barely recognize one when he's drawn from a different angle. Could have more CGs for the amount of events happening in the game for sure. Choices don't seem to affect anything along the game, maybe only the ending at the very end. Anyways, these games are rare, so I'm giving it a thumb up.

Wordy, wordy, wordy. Very few changes in visuals during all the clicking just to move on. A mouse breaker.
