This is one of those Legit VR games reminds me of a game that was shut down called "The Might Quest for Epic Loot " but this is in VR

I you've ever played The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot; this is pretty much that in VR without all the BS microtransactions that it had, which is no complaint from me. Game is fun, and gets updated pretty regularly. I don't have too many hours in this game as of writing this, but I plan to change that soon as I am recently getting back into VR.

Works on Reverb G2. Barbaria is an arcadey VR slasher with async online PvP of building and defending your realm. It's very similar to Gorn with its cartoony violence, art style and sense of humor. Combat is a bit simple compared to something like B&S or Hellsplit, but still fun. Juggling enemies or throwing around stuff is very satisfying, and combat animations are fluid. I do not personally like huge hitboxes for blocking and parrying, but at least it allows AI to be able to defend itself better than in most VR melee arenas. Main gameplay loop of building your defenses and attacking other people's ones is also quite addictive. I've spent a lot of time watching replays, improving rooms layout and getting revenge on players that successfully raided my realm. You can micromanage and upgrade almost every piece of equipment, unit or building, using resources acquired from every raid/defense. It starts feeling a bit repetitive in a few hours, once you finish every challenge room and try rogue-like mode, but by this time I was already hooked and spent several more hours grinding. This is a great addition to any VR library and good price point too. A lot of things to unlock and a lot of replayability. Player created maps make every time you go in feel a bit different. And there is a roguelite mode where you run through a randomly generated dungeon until you die obtaining buffs along the way. I don't have a lot of playtime, but I can see all the room for unlocks and have a rough idea how much I can upgrade and it's a lot more than a lot of VR games out there.

Not for me. The idea of getting and upgrading defences, minions, heroes, etc. is interesting, and in the beginning the game can be enjoyable. But once you get all the basics, and the game starts just throwing "the same enemy but higher level" as a challenge, and you realise that the path to improvement is just grinding gold to upgrade things over and over, you ask yourself a question. Is the combat fun? No. It's not. It's slow, it's clunky, it's inaccurate. So why would I grind for gold to upgrade all my stuff over and over when I'm not enjoying the basic game play combat loop? I won't. Bought it on sale, enjoyed learning the basics, but ultimately uninstalled after 6-7 hours and don't see myself ever returning.
