Batman™: Arkham Origins Blackgate - Deluxe Edition

A really fun metroidvania set in the Arkham verse worth a play if you have a controller!

This is one of the worst games I have ever played. The constant running back and forth with the worst map layout and guide ever. There's no fast travel so most of my hours is just getting lost trying to find the objective or leaving to go to the other parts. The combat is just plain bad and those enemies really got on my nerves. When you're just running around to get a collectable or going to another section, they pop out of no where and you have to defeat them all to move on and it gets annoying so quick. Don't even bother trying to get all the achievements. You have to play this game 3 times. It was my stupid fault I went for it. Genuinely wasted my life on this.

Do you like metroidvanias? Don't play this game. Do you like Batman? Don't play this game. Do you like having a will to live? Don't play this game.

Great game! Really enjoying it right now and I can already tell I’ll revisit it when I finish because I’m told it can have multiple endings. I suppose if you’re expecting another Arkham installment you might be thrown off but this is a great game. It’s totally fun and full of atmosphere. I find the 2.5D experience fascinating especially compared to playing any of the other Arkham games. People who don’t like this game are just purist weirdos. The game is great and it’s not as glitchy as Arkham Origins haha! Love Origins too though… Maybe I’ll post an update when I finish this run…if I remember.
