What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the game's exceptional combat mechanics that remain satisfying even years later, excellent performance on Steam Deck, and strong overall design that transcends the Batman theme. However, some note that while the game is enjoyable, its sequel Arkham City improves significantly on combat, movement, and writing, making this entry feel somewhat dated in comparison despite its foundational quality.

It pissed Me off, but it was fun. I've started Arkham City and it's combat, movement, writing, etc; is way better. But it was worth getting through this one first
Combat is still fun and satisfying in 2026. Also runs on the steam deck perfectly, consistent 60 fps.
I hate batman, superhero and comic book stories and aesthetics. I bought this anyway because the gameplay is so famous. Turns out, as long as I have the volume way down so I can't hear the villains' incessant yapping, even an extremely distasteful-to-me dressing can't diminish how deeply excellent the mechanics are. I am very, very impressed.
