About Battle Runner

It's time to unleash your inner Warrior! Battle Runner is a casual runner with difficult, random, procedurally generated levels. You're the fighter, travelling to new lands seeking quests, fame and an adventure - time waits for no one so you'll have to run fast, and there will be many obstacles in your way which you'll have to pass through carefully.

I have been learning to make games in my free time and love making small arcade and mini games with simple mechanics. Please expect 'Battle Runner' to be a small,
re-playable, score-chaser game where the only goals are to constantly beat your previous score.
Music for the game is royalty-free under the cc0 and was created by Phyrnna.

Battle Runner is an ultra simplistic 2d retro pixel endless runner/platformer. You run along a grassy set of plateaus, jumping over pits and collecting red crystals. There's no benefit to the gameplay by collecting crystals that I could see. The only thing that's worse than a 2D pixel platformer is an endless runner. The genre, popularised by "Temple Runner", a mobile game, has very simple gameplay, you're running, you can't stop, you have to jump obstacles etc, making it essentially a simple platformer with a timing aspect. Battle Runner fails in almost all tests for quality in PC gaming. Lazy retro pixel graphics, 2D gameplay, being an endless runner, no customisable settings. It's not even very good compared to other lazy 2D retro pixel endless runners (TurboPug etc). Can't recommend this at any price.3 found this helpful
It's a pretty basic game. The character is the runner and you just have to jump. Didn't see much battle. The animation looks a little choppy. The music is fine. It's fun for 5 minutes. I played 8 just to be sure. Achievements would be nice1 found this helpful
people are being way too harsh with these negative reviews, it's just a cute little basic game that you can spend a few minutes on if you need something to pass the time. if you don't like one-button endless runners, obviously you won't like it, but if you do, it's a fine way to spend a dollar.
A very basic endless runner with very little incentive to play more than once. Your score goes up based on how long you run, and by picking up bundles of gems. Sometimes you have an absurd amount of gems and other times they are more rare. On one playthrough I hit 10,000 points in a minute or less. It took a bit longer on others as I wasn't hitting gems very often. It's very, very simple. Not really very appealing unless you're really into endless runners.
Another runner game.
