⚠️ Compatibility Notice
The classic BeachHead games were originally built more than 20 years ago using DirectDraw, a legacy graphics system no longer fully supported by modern Windows versions. To ensure better compatibility, this release includes DDrawCompat, a widely used open-source DirectDraw wrapper. What You Should Know
- These games were designed for 4:3, 640×480 resolutions. Depending on your monitor, you may see pillarboxing, stretching, or minor scaling artifacts.
- Although DDrawCompat significantly improves stability and rendering on modern PCs, some systems may still require small adjustments, such as disabling fullscreen optimizations or running in windowed mode.

I used to play BeachHead 2002 as a kid, and loved it. I've tried out a variety of options and sensitivity settings in this new release, but there seems to be significant "drift" in the mouse and keyboard controls - the turret moves even when it should be stationary. I can't figure out what is causing this, but it's unfortunately unplayable for me in its current state.5 found this helpful
Terrible! unplayable on modern machines.4 found this helpful
Terible game compatibilities. That is all I have to say3 found this helpful
What a worthless piece of trash port. The original game was actually fun, and this was supposed to be a nice nostalgia trip. Instead, all I got were DX errors and background processes constantly spawning out of nowhere, forcing me to spend all my time in Task Manager killing them. This copy runs exactly like a cracked version you'd find on some shady website, which just shows how little... actually, zero effort went into this Steam port. 6 euros isn't a lot, but on principle, I’m not giving them the satisfaction for this garbage cash grab. This is a guaranteed refund.2 found this helpful
Are we the baddies? Defend the beach with what I can only describe as "white golf ball controller that you used to use at Gator's Dockside". These controls are awful, it is so floaty and clunky. There are no audio settings other than off, so prepare to have your ears blown off by the loudest ♥♥♥♥ ever. You get three games but like why would you want to play the first two version as they just seem inferior. It is an arcade game that gets repetitive pretty quickly. I recommend this if you... wait so when do you get head on a beach?2 found this helpful
Works great!
