Beat Invaders is NOT a rythm game!
Shoot your path through waves of enemies playing as one of three Pilots, each with their own Ship Class.
Combine upgrades, ship hacks, and specials to unleash an insane devastation on your enemies!
Protect your freighters, beat the bosses and survive intense events to make your delivery.
Gameplay is speed is dependent on the speed of the current track, your opponents’ movements and firing rates are dictated by each song’s beat and tempo.
Level up during a run and choose from different upgrades to make your space ship more powerful. Combine different upgrades to create powerful builds.
Use your earned upgrade points after a run to further enhance your space ship and unlock different ship classes with unique main weapons and stats to take on enemies on harder difficulties. The upgrades can be reset and redestributed to try out different strategies with different ship classes.
Create devastating combos using events and boosts that wipe out screens full of enemies in seconds!
Event waves and mini events break up the pace and make for fun, rewarding challenges.Features:

- Upgrade your ship’s and convoy's systems between enemy waves and purchase meta upgrades between runs.

A perfect fidget game for when it's hard to choose from the library. It starts slow, but it really takes off after a few short upgrades and becomes a lot of repetitious fun. This has been a very enjoyable and economical purchase for me.2 found this helpful

This game is a bit of a sleeper. If you're the type of player who picks up a game, tries it for 5 minutes, then goes "meh". Then you're likely to bounce off this game. HOWEVER!~ If you give this game a chance, the game turns into an Electronic/Dubstep filled romp of chaotic fun! Art blends well together with plenty of effects and bullets to start making the bullet-hell lover squee with joy and your FPS (on the Steamdeck, at least) start to go brrrrr. I do think some balance could be in order to smooth out the from-0-100 excitement curve (which tends to land closer to the end of the first 4-sector "loop"). The spreadshot ship is definitely the most fun and the most "SHMUP" feeling ship out of the three. But overall this game is really fun and what I would love the most is MOAR!1 found this helpful
I can't believe I didn't write a review for this game. I adore it. The way the developer supported the game way after launch showed their affection for the game. And you can feel it. It makes you feel powerful and the sound is captivating as well.
Space invaders rebooted. Great fun.
