i really enjoyed this game
Me and me kid liked the game, but constant game-breaking bugs soured the experience - and sadly make it a not recommended purchase for us. We were both able to beat the game individually, but it turned into an endurance race replaying levels - as often we missed the first part of each stage. When finishing a stage you get teleported to the next one, where the character often froze and we had to use the replay option. In most stages that consist of two screens, we were always appearing in the second part of it. Therefore we decided to replay each stage from the level select menu. When entering the 31st level with the boss, the character appeared in front of the boss, the middle section of this stage. Therefore tried to use the bazooka guy to shoot at character and let the missile follow us the destroy the left two power generators. It did not work. After many, many frustrating tries we restarted the game, and the character started on the left side of 31st stage with the enemies now present - before that it was empty - and therefore it was not possible to beat it. Just learned of this from a YouTube video, otherwise could not have finished the game. Sadly therefore this game is br…
Short but nice.
This is a decent (if forgettable) little puzzle platformer about a robot trying to escape a factory. The game starts off incredibly basic (and easy) but quickly ramps up over the course of its 31 stages. Not bad but it doesn't really leave an impact either
Surprised this game has so little reviews! I'll be glad to give it my own. Billy 101 is a very fun and charming game. It isn't complicated but it poses a decent amount of challenge. I'm not the most skilled gamer in the world and have died many deaths so far in this game (have not finished all levels at the time of this review), but it doesn't feel unfair or inaccessible. The game's visuals are great, and immediately stuck out to me when this game was recommended to me by Steam! Cute character designs, easy-to-follow level design, and I love the colors. The combination of blues and purples with yellows and oranges is very striking. The music has a bit of an "80s action movie" vibe to me, and not only does it sound great, it fits the game perfectly. Billy 101 is all around a pretty simple game about a robot who's sick of his job and wants to blow everything up. It's nice and fun, and doesn't need to be anything more than it already is. I hope more people gain interest in it and play it.
