The granddaddy of rhythm runners and still hard to beat! Which childhood did I originally play this in? My third, my fourth? I don't know -- I'm on either my sixth or seventh right now. Whenever it was that I Bit.Trip ran on my Wii before work in the mornings, I remember it felt like falling into intense, no-mind meditation . . . and the game's still the same after all these years! The simple, sharp graphics have an undying appeal for me. Every action or ITEM GET generating a musical bleat that should be in time with the soundtrack makes me half-consciously synchronize with the levels in a way that's so, so satisfying when I win . . . so alluring when I've lost by a hair. Of course, the Bonus Get stages utterly lack music, so you've got to use only your eye. I really wanted to hundred-percent all of these extra inna woods segments, but each Bonus Get attempt requires you to first re-beat the main level, perfectly, yet again, and isn't that a little too much? It kind of takes me out of the no-mind state . . . What is Captain Video, anyway? A cylindrical guy in a suit? Or is he one and the same with the suit…
