Afterbeat (Project Arrhythmia)

ok before i start this review i do want to say that the game right now only has one chapter and all the workshop content. so this review is largely based off of the few levels that are in the game and the workshop content that i've played. as a result, take this with a grain of salt! (this also means i'll exclusively be reviewing the gameplay, as there's few music tracks in the game and barely any story so far) anyways, for those of you coming from jsab after hearing about this game, i will say - jsab DOES have better game design in general and is therefore a more fun game (though at the cost of having less content). this may be personal preference, but afterbeat feels very overloaded with visual effects for "cool and aura!!" (mostly boss levels) but, uh... that doesn't work all that well when afterbeat, much like jsab, is a bullet hell game and is therefore geared around dodging precisely. constant camera movement makes that really hard to do well and often just ends up being a little annoying, and the accessibility options in the game don't let you disable it if you find it annoying. the player controls in afterbeat are also a lot more slidey in comparison to jsab. it's not by m…

This game improves alot

It’s a colorful, neon jsab with levels that go beyond the horizon!! I’m already inlove with the world after playing through the current story mode a few times, so What isn’t there to love!!

Okay so take Osu!.... then put GeoDash, it's basically a cracked out verision of both of those, so much creativity it's so good. 10/10

pretty good game is general, lots of creativity, many good levels, pretty challenging to 8.8/10
