I must say, at first i was really annoyed about the protagonist and would have liked it more if they used another character. At the end it was way better and more logical. Overall a really well done experience. Im really looking forward to the next game. I can really recommend it

Blackhaven is an example of the type of story-telling possible through video games. It allows you to experience the discovery of history through someone else's eyes. It deals with heavy topics but that's reality of telling a historical story.

Absolutely boring. The intro tells you to "be patient" to get to the "fun" stuff i guess. the game starts with you walking around a historical gallery answering quiz questions. After 6 questions answered I was so bored. Dont tell players to wait for the fun stuff, just make the game fun. Controls are like walking on ice. You click foward and it like slides past where you wanna stop. Voice acting sounds likeits being recorded in a bedroom with no valuable reason to speak. The game starts with your character on the phone with her mom and you cant hear what the momis saying. Listening to a one sided conversation. Skip this.

Wow! Was expecting a quick task driven walking sim. Wasn’t expecting the story and mystery. Very well done. Will probably play though again to 100% I really hope that Cassius will be released in the near future

This game is decent enough as a walking simulator. The protagonist is fairly annoying, she always has to say a one-liner after everything, and most of her quips are bland and dull. I think the narrative is interesting, although the "family hides racist past" is a little cliche, especially since it's made obvious by the protagonist's own monologues. But the game is free, and so I can't complain too much. It is a bit sad that this studio stopped producing more games, it would have been interesting to see the mansion in its original state.

This is an excellent educational tool, but it's more of an interactive story than a game. The story that's being told is good and very important. But it plays out as an interactive novel, with no player choice or puzzle solving. Every time there's the possibility of a puzzle, the player character will tell you what the next step needs to be. It felt like a game for small children, but the content seems a bit too dark for that age range. Honestly, the game would have been perfectly good if the game makers could have allowed the player to figure out a couple of the puzzles. In short, good story and important themes. You'll enjoy it if you like an interactive novel style of play. Just be prepared if you're expecting puzzles or the feeling of solving a mystery. You're not solving the mystery; you're watching the player character solve it themselves.
