7 hours in and I don't understand why this game has mixed reviews so far. Is there an ingame shop? Yes. Is that stupid, always yes. Do you need to use it? No. Not in my opinion. If you're like me, free games are always free. That said, this game is suprisingly good for an MMO. You're not thrown a million levels, confusing items, and big numbers straight after the prologue. Instead, you actually start at lvl 1 and earn each level slowly. Each level feels like an upgrade. Like a competent MMO should. The action combat feels fantastic. It's less adhd than DBO and more methodical yet flashy and punchy. Leveling is not difficult, but it will still punish you for not paying attention. Enemies hurt. Especially during boss battles, which are incredibly satisfying. The story is at least above mediocre and engaging. Which is more than i can say for FFXIV where random ♥♥♥♥ just happens. It takes itself and its world seriously and doesn't demean the player with nonsense tasks. The graphics are stunning and artistic. The cosmetics you earn in game look great from the start but with room to improve as you level, even without spending a single dime in the shop. The character creator is hilari…

This is a hard review to write. The verdict is easy. My feelings about the game is clear. But it's so hard to explain clearly why. Pro: Great character customization. Great Boss combat (general mob fights less engaging), Beautiful graphics. Easy questline to follow. Has all the components that make an MMORPG great, like the industry leaders. I did not experience any glitches, bugs, performance issues. It ran flawlessly during the few hours I played it. Didn't feel any pressures to p2w. feel I can continue at 'zero cost' pace. (Maybe I would be wrong if I continued. Don't know.) Cons: UI is a mess, non-intuitive, not size-scaled properly. I don't doubt that after hours of playing, one will train to manage the UI. The fact remains, it is an odd choice given the usual industry practice, ex. simple inventory interface. Maybe it's the console root design for this game. The questline is linear. Don't know what happens later, but the first few dozens of quests, it's like falling dominos. Summing up the +/- points, this game should be a slam-dunk YES. But I'm going to delete it instead. nostalgic, wasn't able to play on console after years of playing. Once I got a PC, the game is still the same game I remembered

good game just needs more free stuff besides buying mounts and skins lret people who cant get the skins earn them by either Quests or sign in.

i wish there was a way to say both yes and no to recomend this game. It's not bad but its not great either to me it feels like a ff14 rip off and Guild Wars 2 all in one with a bit of WOW in it too, so far of what i've played is good, enough for me to keep playing but what i've seen is and read about online is that the cutescenes are bad some parts of them will have weird camera views and the loading screen will zoom in, the graphics are okay but for me when i first started playing it put it on the lowest setting, the VA's are bad the writing is nothing to write home about. the chaacter customization is fine but vary bare compared to games now a days and would love to have more options. the combat is okay easy to understand and straight forward, questing same thing but what I noticed and as someone has pointed out is that in the menu screen you see chines characters(it's odd but whatever) and you have to fix the controls or sceen size in the menu too. Bottom line would I recommend this game no not really unless you want to play a free game than yeah sure go for it but so far I would not.
