You can really tell how much thought went into this game. There are tons of hidden details and small environmental easter eggs tucked into every part of the world. It rewards exploration in a way that feels handcrafted. The game has a eerie vibe, and the action-RPG mechanics have surprising depth. The headshot system is pretty cool. Once you figure it out, it really changes how you approach combat. It encourages sneaking, distancing, and thinking before engaging. Every area feels distinct, like it was built with intention. No two places feel the same. If you want to play an atmospheric survival games injected with retro survival horror, Blight Night is absolutely worth checking out.

Played this originally on mobile and it was pretty good even though I don't really like mobile games. Got pretty excited when I heard it was coming to PC and yeah, instantly hooke!

Runs perfect on steam deck. Amazing game. Love everything about it. This is the kind of horror game i fantasized about since ps1 resident evil/parasite eve days. Buy the game. Support the dev. This guy needs more money to make more. I missed the bug input during game. I thought i was givin the bar key. Maybe not but i dont have it and my special items is filled with spark plugs. Pros ✔️ Rock-solid zombie atmosphere – It nails that classic 80s horror feel: VHS fuzz, echoing footsteps, flickering lights—it’s all there and it works. ✔️ Natural quest system – Objectives like finding keys or finding hidden keys to unlock a bonus treasure chest feel naturally written into the story. ✔️ Modern-meets-retro blend – It’s got a nice retro feel but definetly plays nice and modern style. Cons ❌ Controller and movement need work – The controls feel stiff, especially on a pad. Turning and aiming didn’t always feel tight. ❌ Paths feel a bit linear – At times it felt like walking a railroad track—go here, kill zombies in the way, rinse, repeat. I wished for more open-ended exploration. ❌ Stamina system falls flat – Instead of adding tension, the stamina meter just made me feel tired for boring reasons, not strategic ones. Not exactly a game for me, but I can see the quality and potential. Very reminiscent of early Resident Evil. I think it's vastly overpriced though, I'd say wishlist and wait for ~50% off sale or so. Blight Night is a retro survival horror set in Golden Springs, 1986, where the whole town rose from the dead and one survivor came back human. The six-act campaign blends scavenging, gun and bat combat, puzzle solving and a conspiracy slowly uncovered through notes, journals and radio broadcasts. The world-building is the campaign's strongest thread, with the military quarantine, the contaminated water and the corrupt drilling company all told through environmental text. The WFOG radio station and its DJ carry a running commentary that ends when the military cuts the broadcast off. The music is a genuine highlight, anchored by one radio song repeatedly singled out as really catchy. The ragdoll physics add constant comedy to melee, since enemies can be floored with impressive force. Combat becomes a pleasure once the silenced Macarov and the fully upgraded LMG come into play, with the LMG making late encounters "a cakewalk". The church boss fight and the giant infected near the carnival pumps are both memorable set-pieces.
