About Blood Card

NEW RELEASE:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/968760/

You may have seen the art assets used by Blood Card in other games, because we encountered difficulties in making Blood Card. We sold our background and monster art on Unity Asset Store, and purchased some card art and background music on Unity Asset Store.

This card game combines elements of roguelike and deckbuilding. During the game, you shall strive ahead, gathering cards to build a unique deck and use it to defeat the enemies getting in your way. You will have to choose between escaping or try to defeat Death, who is relentlessly pursuing you.

Game features
● Unique playing rules
In this game, your life value is equal to the number of cards in your draw pile. When you get hurt for one damage, you have to discard one card. If you have no cards left, the game is over.
● Three distinct zones
The final boss keeps chasing after you, and you can try to beat it at any time you want. Maybe you can get help from your monstrous enemies.
● Flexible progression
The game sets up different encounters and events: monsters, Elites, stores, etc. You get to decide when you want to encounter them - if at all.
● Infinite possibilities
There is no class restricting which card is available and which is not. Once unlocked, a card can appear at any time. A variety of magic combos and unknown dark arts is waiting for you to be discovered and exploited!
● More than 230 cards are available, with over 40 events. 10 bosses and 60 different kind of monsters allows for more than one hundred random battles.
● A formidable and interesting monster challenge mode, custom mode and daily challenge mode.
● Randomly generated card rewards and monster encounters.

Charming pixel art, interesting mechanics, great atmosphere, and a genuinely fun deck‑builder. If you can grab it on sale for the price of a coffee, you really can’t go wrong. Cards serve as your health — you die the moment you run out — but the game gives you several mechanics to avoid that. Unlike most deck‑builders, you don’t choose branching paths on a map. Instead, you have a set number of steps and can decide at any moment whether to fight a normal enemy, take on an elite, trigger an encounter, or visit a shop. Equipment is a great mechanic, though if your entire deck is built around it and you meet a specific boss, you’re basically done for. Encounters are fun, varied, and your choices actually lead to different outcomes. A lot of negative reviews seem to miss that the game lets you increase the difficulty. Death is mostly harmless on low difficulty, but becomes a real threat once you raise it. Balance is good overall. Broken combos exist — and they’re part of the fun — but you won’t be able to pull them off consistently. RNG is handled better than in many other deck‑builders. I’m not a big Slay the Spire fan, so I appreciate that this game is far less grindy. As for the re…

Nauseating. I can't play for more than a couple of minutes before experiencing a sea-sickness type effect which I've never experienced before. I think it stems from there being multiple animations on screen running at different frame rates simultaneously, most of which stutter, at different frame rates when interacted with. You can disable screen shake, change resolution, window mode and cap the max fps in the options, but nothing helps with the animations. Seems to be the case that this is just how it is as its present in youtube video footage from multiple channels. Its probably a stylistic (time/budget) choice to have the different framerates, but it really does not work for me. Can't recommend on the basis that you may well be unable to play it for feeling sick. Shame as it looked like it could be interesting in its own right.

Harder than Slay the Spire. Not my fav in the fun aspect, but it's solid.

The entire point is to try and go infinite with your deck, pretty cool mechanic for a roguelike deckbuilder.

Underrated game, love how broken it can become with just a few well placed cards.

A unique and fun Slay the Spire type of game. Definitely, worth playing if you like these types of games.
