Man its a real shame the dev abandoned this game its got a lot of potential and honestly I wouldn't have even minded that much but there's only two classes and their basically the same class expect one has a stack gimimick that has a chance to stun enemies for a turn. It's worth it on sale but its not worth 15$ with its current amount of content

Slay the Spire, where defeated monsters are the cards that you add to your deck (one per fight). Finished my first run, Bonecrusher God is dead! --- +Surprisingly polished for an indie dev. operation +Plays smoothly and fast; no annoyances really +Attribute system works nicely +Player choice, strategic decisions +Music -Some balance issues are obvious; certain skills can be upgraded but make zero sense, e.g. revive and heal to 50% after death. After upgrading it can be 50% to 51% while another skill gains you flat out +1 mana per turn by upgrading. Also if you happen to get a skill that is unlocked via attributes, you just "waste" it. It doesn't level up. -UX/UI could use some improvements - e.g. cards that deal status effects could show those on the cards without selecting them and unlocked attributes should show the unlocked skills clearly. ⣿⣿⡻⠿⣳⠸⢿⡇⢇⣿⡧⢹⠿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣾⣿⡇⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⡐⣯⠁ ⠄⠄ ⠟⣛⣽⡳⠼⠄⠈⣷⡾⣥⣱⠃⠣⣿⣿⣿⣯⣭⠽⡇⣿⣿⣿⣿⣟⢢⠏⠄ ⠄ ⢠⡿⠶⣮⣝⣿⠄⠄⠈⡥⢭⣥⠅⢌⣽⣿⣻⢶⣭⡿⠿⠜⢿⣿⣿⡿⠁⠄⠄ ⠄⣼⣧⠤⢌⣭⡇⠄⠄⠄⠭⠭⠭⠯⠴⣚⣉⣛⡢⠭⠵⢶⣾⣦⡍⠁⠄⠄⠄⠄ ⠄⣿⣷⣯⣭⡷⠄⠄⢀⣀⠩⠍⢉⣛⣛⠫⢏⣈⣭⣥⣶⣶⣦⣭⣛⠄⠄⠄⠄⠄ ⢀⣿⣿⣿⡿⠃⢀⣴⣿⣿⣿⣎⢩⠌⣡⣶⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣆⠄⠄⠄ ⢸⡿⢟⣽⠎⣰⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢀⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣦⠄⠄ ⣰⠯⣾⢅⣼⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡇⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡄⠄ ⢰⣄⡉⣼⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣧⠄ ⢯⣌⢹⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠄ ⢸⣇⣽⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿…

However, abandoned projects don't deserve positive ratings, especially when sold at a full price. Currently, the game does have content equal to an elaborate demo so those curios might wait for a discount. With the rating out of the way, let's dive into what works for the game and what doesn't. One thing I adored is that every battle ended with a level up - in addition to the usual card and gold rewards. That meant that you are always guaranteed getting stronger and the choice of stats, in theory, allows for different playstyles, although the system was not developed enough for that and characters end up having preferred stats. The card rewards are interesting as you acquire the monster you battled in their card form, and if you had a duplicate from before, you can merge them into a more powerful version. It's a missed opportunity that there is no preview of monsters you will battle to assist the deckbuilding, but togethe…

This, for less than one dolla? Worth it! The collecting-fusion system seems fun, the art is great, but the game lacks excitement and doesn`t have a legit background story — why the gods? who are you? who am I? what is this system? what I`m doing?

I am having a good time with it, though sometimes the difficulty can vary wildly from fight to fight. I would recommend to fans of the genre and the setting.

A very simplified and out-dated feeling Card battler, but something about that is also aesthetically pleasing. I don't think I will come back to it very much given on all the other amazing rogue-like card games out there, but I will be picking it up again when I just want something simple and relaxing.
