Backed the Kickstarter Crowdfunding campaign. Love the game so far, really hoping for Async to get added, then it would be a lot easier to find a game. The game itself seems simple on the surface level but has a lot of depth with positioning, items, and what to do in a given situation. The dice rolls just add a little bit of chance to take the tension down from Chess level to be able to hope for a chance if things aren't looking good, but not too much that it dictates the game. Cannot wait to play more!3 found this helpful
Boardquest: Tales of Lyria is a fun, fast, and tactical skirmish game that’s easy to learn but still offers plenty of strategic depth. Each faction feels different, with its own strengths and playstyle. My favourites being the orcs for sure! One of my favourite things is the random monster encounters and procedurally generated maps mean that no two battles feel quite the same. I've learnt that trying to bait in the monsters to attack my opponents doesn't always work as intended😅1 found this helpful
It's a fun game to play with friends, local and online multiplayer both work great. Quick matches, some only 20mins, easy to fit in your day, and everybody gets the rules immediately. Also I appreciate that the developer continues to make updates and fixes to the game and is very responsive.1 found this helpful
as an owner of the boardgame, this is an excellent way to learn and get in a bunch of games in real fast - plus the multiplayer works great :)1 found this helpful
If you're looking for a turned-based, tactical, old-school RTS experience that plays fast, is well balanced, and give you tons of faction options to choose from - I highly recommend Boardquest. I backed the board game when it went to Kickstarter as well, and this is such a great way to play the game solo or with friends when you can't connect in person. Excited to see where Ramezware takes this franchise because it's packed with potential!1 found this helpful
I enjoyed my time with this game. There is enough here to run through a campaign or play a skirmish map. I like how the dev is always adding new features/bug fixes. So far the Ai seems competent.1 found this helpful
