Bounty Hunter: Space Detective

I bought Bounty Hunter: Stampede, Space Detective and Ocean Diver. Ocean Diver is, I think, the prettiest, Space Detective is proving to be the hardest and Stampede is sort of in the middle. The three games are really all the same, they even use the same music, they are cheap and they are fun. There is a lot of criticism of the game for being short. I've played it and it does feel like that. All the games are short and timed and after completing, or failing, one the player is bounced back to the menu so there is no feeling of progression. However the more I play the bigger the population in my city gets and that's what unlocks Steam achievements .So if you want a quick shot of space based action this probably is not for you, if you want something that will give you lot of quick achievements this probably is not for you. Basically this is a cheap, fun game that is easy to pick up and put down and it is a bit different other games I've played. I find Space Detective to be quite challenging and it demands my full attention when I ply it as the differences between the ships are really minor. The gameplay is a bit dull. While the core loop reminds me of the Mario 64 "Wanted" minigame, the execution doesn't quite hit the mark. The fixed resolution is a big drawback, making everything blurry when in full-screen mode. It’s an okay idea, but it lacks the engagement needed to be truly fun. Some "levels" differentiate ships by a tiny change in color, which is not really a good feature for potential colorblind players.
