Nice game

Bourbon Risky is a really fun little boss rush game that immediately caught my attention with its unusual movement system. I play through a series of dangerous encounters with a shotgun that is powerful enough to launch me around the screen whenever I fire it. I liked that the weapon is not just something I use to attack enemies, because it becomes part of my movement and makes every fight feel more physical. The recoil mechanic is easily the best part for me. Shooting pushes me backward, which means I can use the shotgun to jump higher, change direction or quickly reposition myself in the air. At first I found it a little awkward, but once I started understanding the movement, it became surprisingly satisfying. I really enjoyed learning how to use the recoil deliberately instead of treating it as a simple side effect of firing. The laser system adds another nice layer to the combat. Enemy laser attacks can be avoided with a well timed dash, and successfully dodging them charges my next shotgun blast. The game is fun, if you like boss rush games you'll like this. That being said, the sword boss is genuinely one of the most frustrating bosses ive ever fought, in a bad way. Plus, the controls for controller are ♥♥♥♥. But i mean its free so i absolutely recommend

Bourbon Risky is an enjoyable side scrolling shooter that I would recommend to people looking for a challenge! Pros: - Enjoyable Art style - Dynamic Combat - Challenging Gameplay - Interesting Boss Fights - Dynamic Boss Fights - Simple and Interesting Mechanics - Goose *Honk* - Free Neutrals: - The Game is Only Boss Fights (No minor fights in between bosses, which can make the game feel a little empty) Cons: - No Difficulty Choice (No way to make the game beginner friendly / No way to make the game painfully difficult) - Weird Physics in Some Stages - Too Many Entities in a Space to Avoid Damage on some stages (Even with an I-frame dodge)

This game is kinda fire. I like little bosh rush type games like this and have had fun playing it. B tier
