BREAK ARTS II

The concept is nice but it doesn't catch my attention since i've tried 3 rounds and the tutorials weren't helpful and ui is a bit on the messy side. For me this feels like a half baked game, where it is playable but it needs some more polishing. (Using 3440*1440 btw) But hopefuly BA3 should be more intuitive with the ui, controls and tutorial. I didn't even bother modifying my mecha because it couldn't see myself playing anymore of this. And the 3 quick games I got first place cause I just push the w to go faster and steer.

Is this game a good racing game? Not really. Play Forza or something. Or Mario Kart. Is this game a good mecha fighting game? Also not really. Play Armored Core 6 instead. Is this game a good mecha construction game? Absolutely. The racing mechanics are ... well, they're fine. They're a serviceable way to use the stats attached to your mech and you can kinda use them as inspiration on your builds. But for me, the point of the game is the building. You're here to build a mech with hilarious amounts of customisation and bring to life that weird homebrew Gundam or AC. It's a bit like legos but for mecha. And you can actually drive the lego after you're done building it. In terms of value, I'd say it's decent. It's not a 200 hour game or anything but you could definitely sink some time in if you're the target audience. Definitely worth grabbing if it's on sale and you're craving the mech building experience. Otherwise, probably just save up for AC6.

Good gameplay, at best. Controls for the racing is alright. The mech customisation is the staple of this game, allowing you to use a lot of creativity when building the perfect racing machine, if you're willing to put in the effort of grinding for a few hours for the more interesting parts. I've seen a few comments on this game regarding the difficulty. I myself haven't had too much trouble with racing the AI bots after making a decent build. Maybe I haven't played enough of the game to see the true horrors that these AI bots are capable of. Edit: I'm beginning to understand the horrors now. Overall, good game, fun for a while until you realise literally nobody plays the game anymore. That's fine by me, I ain't much of a competitive person anyway.

The game is absolutely broken. Controller inputs are recommended for the racing mode, but can't be used in menu? And even in the racing mode, my inputs seem to do nothing.

For whatever reason I haven't seen many reviews comparing BA2 to BA3 so when I get BA3 I will do an updated review on which I think is better. BREAK ARTS II is a unique fast-paced mecha racing game with an EXTREMELY intuitive customization system and some decently engaging gameplay. For a while I've been trying to find a mech game that isn't too expensive and can scratch that itch that Armored Core VI gave me. I wouldn't say that this is anything like Armored Core gameplay wise (maybe AC4A) but you should still give it a try for the customization alone. The highlight of this game is the customization system. Think trailmakers but you don't need to learn logic. You would think a game like this made by a smaller team wouldn't have as much accesability in mind but dear got you would be wrong. Yes there are some complex parts but if you have even the slightest experience with games like trailmakers it will be a breeze to make a mech with cool animations and huge impractical wings or some ♥♥♥♥ like that. The gameplay is not amazing but it's hardly as bad as other reviews make it out to be. The combat is pretty mediocre as you only have two weapons but the main focus is the racing …

Jogo de corrida futurista com mechas frenético! 10/10 maravilhosa a ideia. Só seria bom que tivessem pistas mais largas devido a grande mobilidade dos mechas.
