What is the Breath?
The Breath is an experimental videogame for single player. Player act as a man, looking for something in the desert. Wandering, breathing, memory appeared, about her. He start imagine, and impatience won't let him rest. At the top of the dune, he saw a crystal tree. He can't tell. He is confused. Painful memory appear again, he remembered she is gone. But can't remember what he is doing. Unknowingly, he step on a crystal bridge. An exit door appeared. He is afraid and happy at the same time. But wound last night is still occupy.
Dazzling glare, frozen ground, weak breath, he remember that desperate morning which have no relative with her. The river of time never came back, only thing shows up is their past. More clear the memory is, more pain he will suffer. Untill he saw the emptiness. Huge doubt occupy his heart, what is real?
Nothing is real, except memory about her and every breath.

There isn't much being offered with this title. The scenery is nice and intriguing. The story or poetry if you so prefer to think of it as has potential to be an interesting thought provoker; however it is like the store page, not exactly translated well. Those who understand the language will be able to piece things together and understand it, but I imagine there is room for a better transition into english. I can not speak for the Chinese; but I imagine it is most likely the fluent language of the developer. Aside from walking in the mysterious landscapes and reading the poetry the player is given the option to breathe. As far as I can tell this does nothing but make you feel more immersed into the idea of needing to slow down and "Just Breathe". You click to hold your breath in; and when you let go you let your breath out. It adds to the immersion a bit and is an interesting component to the title. The endi…

This is more of a walking simulator/thinking experience than a "game." It does a great job of giving the player a sense of confusion, lonliness, and story. I played it until I got to a part where I couldn't figure out what to do next. The breathing part of the interaction doesn't seem to have an affect on the gameplay. or maybe it does and that affect played out in the game I played. It's hard to say.
