Players appreciate the creative match-3 twist with airship combat mechanics, clear goals, and enjoyable music, but the game suffers from significant technical and design issues including bugs that freeze gameplay, poor visual presentation, unbalanced difficulty that often relies on opponent luck, and confusing UI that obscures important features like the shop and power system. While some find the core mechanic engaging once they understand the strategy, many are deterred by clunky controls, unclear objectives, and the overall lack of polish compared to similar games in the genre.
Cute and fun. A good way to kill some time. :-)4 found this helpful
Interesting little mechanic, appaling delivery; terrible visuals, poor playability (no drag'n drop / slide for a match-3!), bad communication of objectives and information: - you start, you have to cross straight to the second zone with the game asking you if you really want to do it - then you are suddently presented with a store window where you cannot purchase anything as you don't have gold, but later when you earn gold you can't access that store again – at least there was no button neither apparent location on the map and I could not find it, so I was stuck with one red-only power during all my games, rendering other color matching useless (and the games boring) - on the map you can barely distinguish your balloon from enemies' - few and clumsy visual feedback - games start and end without temporization neither much information ...and the list would go on.2 found this helpful
It is an airship combat Match-3 combat game! There are skills too and even fun music/SFX to go along. The dialogue is funny and your goal is clear. Modes are included as well and you can play the game in many different ways. However, the game is very hard. Most of the time I find myself unable to even go against the opponent, because they killed you in one lucky match strike. Oh yes, Match-3 is luck based, but there lies the challenge. Some gems crashed into one another and got stuck, but once you make a match, they don't glitch... but sometimes form an empty spot. Otherwise there are no other crazy bugs to speak of. Thank you for the challenging Match-3 game! I look forward to getting much better at it to conquer it fully. :D :) =)1 found this helpful
While I appreciate the strategy and RPG elements that were infused into this, the rest of the game is still sorely lacking. The art looks like generic clip art from the early 2000's, the gameplay becomes an unbalanced slog, and worst of all—it's riddled with bugs that freeze the game. I'd say that decent effort was put into this, but in all honesty it looks like it was made from a template.
3/10
I found the game fun, but bugs made it unplayable.
If you like match-3 games, but want a twist to add a game mechanic, and a casual game, then this is pretty good. It isn't as refined as a game like Puzzle Quest, and looks like a single person project, but well done for that, and enjoyable. I really liked the middle-line barrier that resets to the middle each turn to give your half to work with, match 4 or more to blow it a row to the right and get another turn, and reasons to match items across the line. Buying powers also added to the strategy. It is still light on the strategy, but once you have powers you want, you can tilt the games in your favor by mitigating the powers the computer opponent happens to have and eventually beat them. There is enough random chance that on harder difficulty if the computer doesn't make poor choices (that they sometimes do on easy difficulty), you might find yourself losing a few levels in. I actually preferred easy difficulty. I watched this game on my wishlist for a while, then finally bought, and glad I did. There isn't much replay value once you found the power ups you prefer most, and beat the 10 levels once, but worth it until then. [4/5 stars]
