Pretty enjoyable roguelite in an Arkanoid skin. The meta progression is pretty slow, which makes the later levels and challenges fairly difficult, which is a good thing. There are a good amount of different skills to choose from during a run. But you need to mix and match those, otherwise you'll end up with a mediocre build while dealing too little damage to clear the quickly descending bricks. Controls are ok, you need to use either keyboard or controller, mouse can only be used while picking skills on level-ups. If you don't like to grind the achievements or complete every single stage - this game will get repetitive after several hours. But if you are like me and just like the challenge to complete everything - it's gonna be enjoyable for the most part. The only real negative is that the levels are very dull. All you do is destroy neverending bricks and then after every 2 or 3 minutes you get a "boss". Which is nothing more than a simple stage that requires you to clear all the destroyable bricks during a certain amount of time while avoiding skulls (-1 life on pickup) and confusion cells which reverse your controls for several seconds. Anyway. It's a decent enough game to …2 found this helpful
It's super cheap, and I wanted an Arkanoid-like experience from the early 90's. I got that, inconsistently, for a few hours. It crashes and plays itself while I'm making other choices, so very few runs have been totally under my control; often, I just die off-screen. I'd be glad to hear updates but for now this game is barely playable IMO.2 found this helpful
Neat little brick breaker/survivors mashup, it does what it's meant to do. Levelling up felt a little slow at first, but when I started there was a bug that made the first level 40% longer than it should have been, so it should have a much smoother curve now
Fun little game, good for a quick run, particularly on the Steam Deck. There's a lot of meta unlocks but will require a lot of playthroughs to see them all maxed but revealing a little extra each run works pretty well. Slightly erratic physics sometimes but this honestly isn't a criticism! It makes it charmingly retro. The developer could do a better job of explaining what each of the red/blue/green drops are as well as what PA means! But once it's clear PA is your upgrade currency between runs, green does good things, red bad and blue adds another line of blocks it all falls into place. Very enjoyable and well worth the budget friendly price.
Good
