Action game where the player destroys vehicles, escapes from the police, gains time at checkpoints, and upgrades weapons all to complete 9 challenges ✅Dynamic gameplay with vehicle destruction ✅The price is fair ✅Looking for the "BUMPER" sign across the entire map ✅Improvements ✅The graphics are okay ✅You have in-game boards with challenges to complete (it unlocks a new game mode) ✅The game is good for 1,5 hours max ❌Weak police AI (driving into walls :D) ❌Terrible optimization when more police arrive ❌The game could have included some difficulty levels, because we have a map and drive through checkpoints, and that's it, and you can keep going like this forever ❌Lack of variety ✅✅ Verdict: [strike] Very Bad [/strike] , [strike] Bad [/strike] , [b] Decent [/b] , [strike] Good [/strike] , [strike] Very Good [/strike] (Rating scale for tested games) If you have any questions about my reviews, feel free to ask. [h1] Very mediocre at best. Play only if you have to. [/h1]12 found this helpful
Bumper, developed and published by Artur Rezende, is a compact arcade-style driving game that embraces simplicity and immediacy above all else. It is built around a straightforward premise—drive fast, crash into everything, and survive as long as possible—and it delivers that loop with a raw, unfiltered energy that reflects its indie origins. The core gameplay revolves around navigating a confined arena filled with other vehicles, obstacles, and constant threats. Players are encouraged to cause as much destruction as possible by colliding with other cars while avoiding capture by pursuing police units. Time is a critical factor, and collecting checkpoints extends each run, creating a steady tension between aggression and survival. This balance gives the gameplay a clear rhythm: push forward to increase your score, but remain aware of the risks that come with reckless driving. The simplicity of this loop makes it immediately accessible, allowing players to jump in and understand the mechan…1 found this helpful
This is one of those games that's easy to recommend to anyone.
I like the idea of vehicular combat with THPS style challenges, but there are glaring technical problems. First, the game kept crashing just a few seconds after launching and the only way of fixing this was by uninstalling the "New Graphics" DLC. Then after re-launching the game I was greeted with a barrage of garbled visuals. If you've ever tried to emulate N64 games 10 to 15 years ago, that's more or less what you'd see here. I can only recommend this to those wanting steam badges.
short fun game :)
