Eh, maybe saying I do not recommend is too harsh. I certainly liked some aspects of the investigation more than in, for example, Phasmophobia, it just required more engagement and in -game research which was nice. Graphics and mechanics were great too. But the generative AI aspect irks me the wrong way. It's not even that It is GenAI, more like it just doesn't fit. A ghost spewing out long paragraphs of semi-detailed information that are easy to understand is just boring, never mind the robotic Google Translate-like voice. Feels mundane, not paranormal, and the moment it happens, it takes me right out of the setting and ruins the horror. If the review system was star-based, I'd give it 2/5, for graphics and overall initial climate. But 3 are subtracted because of unfortunately GenAI which is too striking and too big a part of the game to look past, as well as the lack of originality. Which in other circumstances wouldn't be so bad, because I'm all for cheaper or free alternatives to popular games but the AI issue tips the scales. Very unfortunate really.2 found this helpful
Bureau of Contacts: Mansion is a highly innovative, free-to-play standalone slice of the full ghost-hunting tactical horror experience Taking exactly 30 minutes to complete a single high-stakes run it successfully steps into Phasmophobia's territory while introducing a massive, genre-shifting feature: generative AI integration . You play as a solo paranormal agent tasked with exploring a dark, atmospheric estate, gathering clues, and banishing a hostile spirit .The dynamic communication loop completely carries the experience. Instead of screaming pre-recorded trigger phrases into a spirit box, you use actual dynamic voice chat or text to interview the ghost. Powered by an advanced neural network, the ghost actively interprets the literal meaning of your words, gauges your hostility, and reacts with dynamic, unpredictable verbal drops and hunting behaviors It creates an incredible layer of tension since you cannot simply memorize patterns to survive. While the single-player map layout can feel slightly raw and the visual asset scaling is basic , it functions as an exceptional, high-concept interactive tech demo . It is well worth half an hour of your time, especially since it feat…1 found this helpful

I Loved the game cant wait for the full version, one thing i will say is its glitchy with the ghost choosing and evidence sometimes it wont register the ghost w/ evidence and then yu gotta restart thats the only annoyance so far
The exorcism context is good, but poor application, it needs more polish.
*Review written while high* Pros: - Super realistic atmosphere - Very scary actually! - Good jumpscare moments with the traps I just don't know if the traps make sense for a home map? - Enemies are scary looking! - Immersive - More realistic-phasmo Cons: - No music (although... does Phasmo have music?) - Very confusing UI/game setup? Like for example you can click on a tutorial in the main menu, but then once you get in a lobby there's also a tutorial room? that you can practice stuff in, but then also there's some written tutorial stuff separate from that in a journal??? It was a lot....
