The ingredients for a good game are here: quirky characters, fun visuals, unique gimmicks for an RPG, etc. However, at the end of the day, I can't recommend an RPG where the core gameplay mechanic is: Remember when your Pokémon got paralyzed and didn't do what you told them to half the time? What if there was a game where your entire team did that AT ALL TIMES FOR THE ENTIRE GAME. THAT's the core gameplay mechanic. I get that the idea is that you're supposed to learn your characters' quirks and play around them (let Somia sleep for a turn before attacking, don't attack bugs with Selma, etc.), but THEY STILL DON'T WORK EVEN WHEN YOU DO WHAT THEY WANT. I'm sure the idea was hilarious when you first pitched it, but then you have to execute it in a way that's still fun 15 hours in, instead of crawling through the final boss fight because my DPS put herself to sleep for 5 turns, my healer just left for 3 turns to "find some treasure", and my tank is too scared to attack. It is funny at first. It is less funny as it continues to happen over...and over...and over...and over...and over...3 found this helpful
The overall game is pretty fun and interesting, but the rng aspects can be really annoying when your one action away from ending the battle and suddenly no one on your team wants to listen to their most basic command. The achievement grind was reasonable at the start but then they made several monsters appearing rng dependent on top of it already being rng dependent that the skill needed to summon the monster be picked. This makes the grind unfufilling and boring, overall the game is fun enough for a playthrough but it is dreadful to 100%,3 found this helpful

Conclusion (If you don’t feel like to read the full text)
Calamity Angels: Special Delivery is a lighthearted Monopoly-like turn-based JRPG game. The player takes the role of the leader of Calamity Angels. The player will need to lead a group of people with unique characteristics in pursuit of becoming a SSS rank delivery team! The game maintains a lighthearted and enjoyable atmosphere throughout. The story is very engaging thanks to the vivid character personalities. In battle, each ally will decide whether to follow commands or not based on current mood and preferences, which creates a strong sense of unpredictability. Although this is one of the game’s key features, it can become frustrating in the mid to late stages. For players who are looking for a lighthearted and fun Monopoly-like JRPG game, this gem provides a lot of enjoyment in both gameplay and story, and could be worth checking out! The game is okay, but I'm mostly just disappointed by how very few of the story dialogues are actually voiced in English. Like, you'll hear them in like the first chapter or two, but beyond that it's mostly silence. Why even bother including an English dub when I don't even get to listen to them for like 90% of the game's story. At least give the game the same percentage of dub love like your Neptunia games. Even if not everything gets dubbed, at least the dialogues don't stay silent for too long.1 found this helpful
Some how the game is good. I like the ways characters could be out of control. But later on the map is quite large and boring.
Love that all my teammates ignore what I want them to do... at all possible counters, always !! Jokes aside, fun cast of characters and I really enjoy it so far !!
