Call for Heroes: Pompolic Wars

Some people and critics call this one of the worst games ever made. Did we play the same game? It's great. For one, it is quite interesting and unique. Basically, this is a hack and slash where in each level you have to find numerous keys to open the portal to the next level, but there's a catch – every level has a time limit. You can collect clocks to get some time, but you are always in a rush. It is quite intense, although me being quite a slow player I did not run out of time even once. All of your weapons use ammunition, including melee ones, so you have to conserve ammo. and use your weaponry wisely. The game uses a quite complicated system of having two separate mana bars and also a stamina bar which is also used as ammunition as well as for running. It's very odd, but it somewhat works even if confusing and redundant. One thing I do not understand is why do some of the keys spawn only later on, which forces you to re-explore the whole levels multiple times. The enemy, weaponry, spell ability and environmental varieties are pretty great. Even though there were a few lesser levels, most are very good, except for the last level which is garbage. For 1 dollar or less yes, the vibe and aesthetic is there But the movement is very slippery, as if you are walking on ice. The gameplay loop is just clear a counterstrike sized map of enemies then run through a portal to the next map. You are given like 30 minutes each level even tho they take 2-4 minutes to complete on average. Very strange game. The combat is too overcomplicated and you need ammo for every powerup you want to use, and its impossible to understand what icon is for what. ok but right now i stopped playing the game because im in a snowy maze level and keep dying by falling and losing all the lives ive gained over the past 5 or so maps the developers rely on maze-like maps to artificially extend the duration of each mission. So you will be lost 90% of the time steam reccomended me this game after buying BELTION (now thats an actual good game, i actually ended up enjoying beltion more than most classic rpg games ive ever played like gothic/witcher/risen) i think they are the same publisher thats probably why it was reccomended
