“Keep your eyes on this one, because it’s one quality Action RPG” – Entertainment Buddha

In a world ravaged by war and dominated by magic, you are the last hope for the Empire of Man against the Chaos hordes. Playing solo or with up to 4 in local or online co-op, choose a hero from 5 character classes with unique and complementary skills, and prepare for epic battles wielding some of the most powerful artefacts of the Old World.

FEROCIOUS BATTLES: from the sewers of Nuln to the ruined streets of Praag, fight your way through monster hordes using over 180 different powers. Activate your bloodlust, a devastating skill, to escape the most perilous situations.

5 CHARACTER CLASSES, each with unique skills and customisation: a soldier of the Empire who can take heavy damage, a Dwarf specialised in melee combat, a High Elf who deals ranged damage by manipulating magic, a Wood Elf who lays deadly traps and wields the bow like no other, or a versatile Dwarf Engineer who can blow off steam, literally!

AN XXL BESTIARY with over 70 monsters aligned with the Chaos Gods and unique bosses. Battle Nurgle's minions, Khorne's spawn and waves of other vile creatures!

OPTIMIZED FOR CO-OP: solo or with up to 4 players, local or online, the class synergy and interface have been designed for co-op. Combine different skills and powers to create even more devastating effects.

HIGH REPLAY VALUE: Story mode, a boss rush mode, countless dungeons and regular updates offer a rich and varied gaming experience. And with 10 difficulty levels, you can find the right challenge to test your abilities.

Chaosbane is a decent enough if simple ARPG but outside of the Warhammer Fantasy skin there's no reason to pick it over any other ARPG. If you get it for like 95% off and decide to play it regardless you absolutely have to use a controller. The inventory UI completely changes when using a K+B or a controller and the K+B UI may actually be one of the worst I've ever seen. I would say the game is actually unplayable with the K+B UI.

A bit repetitive but scratches the Old World itch.

It's a good little ARPG... only thing is, it gets repetitive fast... the main quest is interesting enough, and your character development too, but then you cap out on levels by then, so when you do the two optional chapters after that, it gets boring... sure, you could use another character for those, which I did, but meh... Just not as good as Titan Quest or other games in the genre.

If you enjoy a simpler time of ARPG where combat felt good and you did not need to a million lazers in all directions to feel powerful, and you can look past some items the Dev's missed on (Voice Acting, Mapping, Progression Timing), you will find a fun a time here. Combat feels great. Skill trees and extra events unlocked as you progress and after 50 are awesome. For the $1 I spent on this, I am getting alot more enjoyment than most games. Well done Dev's and a shame it missed. I think if you had a little more time? Talent? you would have nailed a classic -- As it stands however, it's just a fun buget game.
