About Camp W

Camp W puts you in the role of a young Witch experiencing their first ever summer away from home at sleepaway camp. But there’s a twist! (Isn’t there always?) Though you’re from the Witching Realm, where magic is commonplace, you’ll be enrolling at a summer camp for Humans who have long since forgotten that Witchcraft exists. While summering in the Human Realm, you'll have to conceal your identity and make sure not to get caught practicing your craft. Make friends, cast spells, and uncover secrets during your first ever summer away from home. Welcome to Camp W!

Features

Friending Simulator - Camp W is filled with interesting characters, but everyone can’t be your best friend -- that would be exhausting. You’ll have to decide which campers interest you the most and then get to know them and their stories over the course of your playthrough.

Mysteries Await - There’s more to a summer at Camp W than kickball and friendship bracelets. Discover secrets about the history of the Witching Realm and battle evil forces who threaten to rain on your summer fun.

Get Your “Choose” On
- You decide which camp activities to attend, which questions to ask, and how you want to respond at critical moments throughout the game. One playthrough won’t be enough to explore every path of this branching story.

A Hand-Drawn World - Visit more than twenty beautifully illustrated locations--during the day and at night--and hang out with fifteen fun characters, all of which feature a range of fun poses and expressions. Not to mention your Grimoire, which will fill up with drawings as you play through the game.

Collectables Galore
- Cast 12 different spells, earn 18 unique badges, and unlock 60+ illustrated memories. You’ll have to replay the game to see them all, but it’s worth it--and you’ll earn achievements along the way.

All-Ages...But Not Just For Kids - Camp W was designed to be enjoyed by all ages, and we mean it. Youngsters and adults alike will find a lot to love about the story, dialogue, humor and drama throughout the game.

Original Score
- A complete score featuring more than a dozen tracks composed just for this game by talented composer and musician Davey Thomas Tucker. Listen to it online for yourself right here!

This is honestly such an all-around high quality game it's scandalous that it's free now and has still gotten this little attention. Not that I'm so much better - I got a review copy years ago and never prioritised it for some reason. Basically I loaded the title/menu and immediately thought I should have checked this one out sooner. It struck me as really well designed right from the start. The art is lovely, and there are a few nice effects bringing some more life into it, like the 2.5D effect in the intro or the sparkling of the lake water in the sun. You can choose between a boyish and a girlish looking character, but the choice doesn't affect the story and you'll be referred to with they/them pronouns - maybe they just didn't want to bother with the extra coding, but I'm not complaining :D It took me a bit to notice that the name tags in dialogues, looking like wooden signs, were customised with colours, shapes and symbols for each individual NPC - a nice touch and great help for remembering who is who. The music switched around with the atmosphere and surroundings, between idyllic and eerie Halloween-ish, very cool. I really enjoyed the writing, too. Skilful even with r…

Camp W is a narrative-driven adventure game created and published by Psyop that blends visual novel storytelling with light exploration and choice-based gameplay. The game centers on a whimsical premise in which a young witch accidentally ends up attending a human summer camp and must navigate the experience while keeping their magical identity hidden. Set in a colorful campground filled with quirky characters and mysterious events, the game combines elements of slice-of-life storytelling with light fantasy and coming-of-age themes. Rather than focusing on action or complex mechanics, Camp W emphasizes character relationships, personal growth, and the quiet magic of summer friendships. The player begins the story as a young witch who has unexpectedly crossed into the human world. With no easy way to return home, the protagonist ends up enrolling in a nearby summer camp while attempting to blend in with the human campers. Players can choose between two different protagonists—Liliandra or Lysander—each offering slightly different perspectives on the events that unfold. While the overall storyline remains consistent, the chosen character influences certain dialogue options and intera…

This is a nice, lightheart story about a young witch that accidently ends up in a human summer camp and decides to enjoy themselves. There isn't any moral or theme or drama going on. Just likable characters doing things they enjoy, and even the villain is an over the top goofball. Plus the art is really good and I love the character design. If this was a pilot for an animated series, I would watch it.
