Players praise Canine's tight, focused horror experience with a compelling emotional hook centered on rescuing a kidnapped dog, along with its distinctive retro PS1-era visual style and unique blend of horror, stealth, and comedy that creates memorable scares. However, opinions diverge on longevity and depth—while some find it a worthwhile short game with good pacing and references, others feel the quality drops significantly as it progresses and wish for more substantial content. The game's intense dog chase sequences and jump scares work well for most players, though some find the realistic
too scary for me and triggered a phobia i have about fake animals :< great game tho3 found this helpful
Unfortunately I expected a bit more from this game. It starts off really promising but the quality drops quite a lot as it goes on. Overall it is pretty “okay” The retro look is actually quite interesting and gives the game its own style. The mix of horror, stealth and comedy is also a unique combination and creates some fun and scary moments. It's nothing special, but you can still have a fun and an interesting horror experience.2 found this helpful
Decent micro-horror game. Worth playing for sure though, Tomy's face when you rescue him is hilarious lol.1 found this helpful
Short but sweet game. Plenty of fun for a game of this price and length. Got some good references to resident evil and if you get caught you might jump. I'd give it a RRRRRRUFFF BARK BARK/10. Now stop reading reviews and go adopt a dog. 🐶🐕1 found this helpful
Not a bad game, but it's just "meh". Most reviewers seem to have similar opinion but they still recommend it and that's why it currently has 97% positive reviews. You can skip it unless you really like dogs.
