About Cantaloper

Cantaloper is a very difficult platformer in which you use your legs to charge jumps and climb out of a deep pit. You'll play as a beautiful cantaloupe with human legs that must ascend out from the underground depths he finds himself in. There are no checkpoints; every fall will set you back based solely on how far you fall. Can you make it up two long levels? Will you elope?

Featuring:

- The sexiest cantaloupe you will ever see

- A long journey to the surface

- Rats

- L I M B S

Made in collaboration with IDislikeNames.

The trailer might make cantaloper seems similar to jump king, but it really isn't. Each leg is controlled by a different key, so you want to press the direction you want to go first and the other direction second and release at the same time to launch. You can also remove your leg to spin or get into tight place, and you can also rotate with legs to reach higher platform with them, lots of variety in the control. The map isn't really pretty not gonna lie and from what i've played, is not too punishing but i have not finished this one. It has 2 map apparently.

Cantaloper is an unusual indie platformer created by ComputerCow in collaboration with IDislikeNames and published by ComputerCow. While the concept sounds intentionally absurd, the gameplay itself is built around a serious challenge. The developers clearly aimed to create a difficult physics-based platformer where patience, careful control, and persistence are required to reach the end of the climb. The core mechanic revolves around the cantaloupe’s ability to charge and perform jumps using its legs. Players must hold and release the jump input with precise timing in order to propel the character upward. Because the jumping system is based on momentum and directional control, each movement requires careful consideration. A slightly mistimed jump can send the character in the wrong direction, and losing control often leads to falling back down the pit. This creates a constant sense of tension, as every leap carries both the promise of progress and the risk of losing ground. Unlike many modern platformers that r…

Why does he have watermelon stripes on him if he’s a cantaloupe? That makes even less sense than him having hairy legs.
