Capy Castaway

This game isn't *bad*, but... I was sold on the multiplayer aspect. The multiplayer feels extremely half-baked, like an afterthought. Playing as Crovi means following player one and *occasionally* doing anything. It is also couch co-op with no online capabilities (other than Steam Remote play.) The gameplay is very laid-back (I personally found it a bit boring, but it isn't entirely unlikable.) The graphics and art style are very cute. Overall, it is cute and charming but not that exciting as a *game* that you *play*, especially if you want to play with a friend.

I can't recommend this game, unfortunately. It has a cute art style and vision, but it just isn't a two-player game. While the option is there, it leads to minimal interaction with your player two due to all the godamn reading. The dialogue and chatter is funny and cute but it gets really old really fast. Feels like 3/4 of the game is tapping through dialogue. It feels similar to Little Kitty Big City, but that game was really enjoyable for me.

Such a whimsical little game that approaches LGBTQ+ topics very casually. There are lots of choices to be made and some cute character interactions. I had a good time playing through it and I'll return to it later to make different choices

Capy Castaway is a short but nice little adventure you can experience leisurely by yourself or with someone close to you. As adults, my girlfriend and I enjoyed exploring and doing quests on this castaway island! The game was not very difficult (a kid can find their way through the game very easily) and I do wish there were more puzzling aspects, (more things like the goose soup, or more opportunities to use the sniff and flight mechanic), but we found a lot of enjoyment in the very cute and stylized art style, and the dialogue and characters.(Even though it was a little dialogue heavy and slow to start- it got better as the game went along!) Speaking of characters, most of them were pretty delightful. I enjoyed Onyx and Benny particularly, they were very cute. Corvi however, was just kind of evil? In the grand scheme of the story, it makes sense that he acts the way he does, but he is a pretty drastic blemish on the cast of colorful and mostly reasonable fun little guys. There were a few bugs along the way,(some of which couldn't be fixed unless you closed and reopened the game) but I can't fault a honest indie team who has been putting in the work with patches to fix anything…

I love this silly game so much. The characters are cute and beautifully designed. I adore the representations and the little puzzles are so much fun. I am a bit sad about the ability to play with friends, though that's more a reflection of steam's remote play and less performance on the game itself. Regardless, I really enjoy it and look forward to playing more when I find the free time! :3

Little Capybara is swept away by a flood, separated from its parents and the other animals from the zoo, and deposited on a small island alongside the rest of the junk. Luckily, a crow is there to lend a hand, or rather, its beak. The crow does all of the talking because the capybara cannot speak and can only respond with head movements. You often get to choose between several responses, although these choices do not seem to matter that much. You control both characters at the same time, but if you have a friend next to you, they can take control of one of them. The capybara is a child, so there is not much it can do besides running around and stacking objects on top of its head. The objects are all sorts of junk found around the islands, and the resulting towers can become surprisingly impressive. There is even an achievement for stacking one hundred objects, and the capybara can still jump and run around without a single one falling off. The crow is essential for grabbing the capybara and carrying it over water or to higher places. It gets tired after a few seconds, but there is enough land around that stamina management never becomes an issue. Flying also allows the crow to g…
