Pick up cards that are scattered across randomly generated office rooms. Goal is to find keycard and escape using elevator. Avoid monsters as they try to get you. Plenty of different cards that might be helpful like longer running, flashlight, stack of papers to throw at monsters, crouching, compass, crucifix to banish evil and such. Beware though because some cards might be cursed and will hinder your actions and take space in the inventory. Only 6 cards can be hold at once. Hide from monsters in some places. Can be played with 3 other players. Game is a bit clunky sometimes, especially when grabbing some cards from unusual places like a locker. Also there seems to be a bug when using PC - player can't move. Visuals are a bit simplistic but nonetheless gameplay is good. Interesting concept for a horror game, much recommended to get full version when the price drops.
"Cards We're Dealt: Prologue" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Cards We're Dealt". Cards We're Dealt is a weird and objectively failed attempt to make a low poly (read: Bad graphics) roguelike (read: No content) card based FPS (huh). That only ever had 4 concurrent players, it was a massive flop. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Cards We're Dealt, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Cards We're Dealt: Prologue" too. The purpose of this advertisement is to get you to shell out a whopping (and crazy optimistic) $10 USD to buy "Cards We're Dealt" and given how badly that failed, it would be wrong to recommend that, either. This is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube an…
