About Catch & Defense
Step into dangerous biomes where waves of all kinds of monsters will try to bring you down. To survive, you’ll need to build a solid defense with strategically placed turrets. But survival isn’t enough… you can strike back in a unique way! Every enemy monster can be captured and turned into part of your defensive card deck. Harness their powers and abilities, combine monsters and turrets, and discover the best synergies to overcome the challenges of each run. Before each wave, you’ll have the chance to expand the terrain, creating a map that grows larger and longer with every step, forcing enemies to take more challenging paths. Each expansion is generated randomly, ensuring that no two runs are ever the same. On top of that, biomes can change from match to match, altering both the look of the environment and the types of monsters that appear. Every attempt becomes a truly unique experience. The world is home to 70 different monsters and 10 unique turrets. As you encounter them in battle, your Monster Book will gradually fill with new entries: every creature you face will be recorded with its description and stats. Defeat and capture monsters to unlock even more details, including how many times you’ve bested or captured them. Becoming a true monster master means completing every last page of this book!

A unique spin on tower defense! In Catch & Defense, you gain new towers by capturing enemies with nets. Then you can deploy the newly allied towers and fight off the next wave of baddies. When you play a tower, it gets more expensive to play another of the same kind. This leads to trying to minimize the number of deployed towers while still surviving. Tower rarities, along with the number of times you have played them this game, determine the cost. Killing enemies, no matter the rarity, will give you 1 gold, so you really have to save up for the late game, if you make it that far. You start off at 10 waves, and only when you clear the level with that many waves can you progress to 20, 30, or 40. 10 is very doable and gives you a good starting point to learn the game. As you clear waves, you gain some sort of "ticket" currency, which allows you to unlock new heroes and upgrade the existing ones. Your "heroes" are the characters on top of the tower you must defend, and they all have an elemental alignment. There are 7 heroes for the 7 biomes. There is a bit of a learning curve, both with what elements are good against the others (use the key at the top right for more inform…1 found this helpful
