Match 3 + modern graphics + ship battle mini-game = Collect diamonds and gold from each map to upgrade ship and island. Find treasure maps and fight other pirates for it. A decent match 3. "Catherine Ragnor and the Legend of the Flying Dutchman" is a mobile app-tier match-3 game, a ripoff of games like Bejewelled/Candy Crush. But that's not the remarkable thing about this. The unethical "developer" behind this, HH-Games, has dumped literally over 100 of these match-3 games, lightly reskinned, onto Steam. What's the point? Why is it good for gamers for there to be hundreds of copy+pasted games all using the same match-3 engine? I'm willing to go so far as to say when "developers" do this for the purpose of cashing in as much as possible on reskins of exactly the same game, this is asset flipping. It doesn't matter if they own the engine (wouldn't be surprised if they don't), copying + pasting it hundreds of times just pollutes Steam. This is harmful to gamers and to the gaming industry. It makes it harder for gamers to find genuinely made games. It makes it harder for genuine amateur developers, who are doing the right thing, to find marketing space and an audience for their games. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful g…

It's a basic Match-3 with background tiles you need to break. It has a poor pirate themed story, upgrades that don't do much but are required to proceed, and doesn't work right with an ultrawide display. I had to close the game every time I looked at the ship-upgrades area. Its only saving grace is that it's cheap.

https://youtu.be/K2XkGVJjiug Catherine Ragnor is a minor character in her own game, at least she won't be too disappointed to be left out of this grind heavy match three experience.

Game 3 in a row in the genre of pirates. In general, not bad, I like it! There is a nice picture and a full story, the game is worth the time, I recommend it.
