Catoise is an adorable puzzle platformer in which the player takes on the role of a tortoise-shelled cat that can fire Apeture-esque portals and levitate objects thanks to the powers of a newly acquired bracelet. Catoise is a very cute and entertaining puzzle platformer. Its jolly but laid-back aesthetic counterbalances the challenge presented making it a relaxing experience overall. The gameplay, whilst not overly original, presents a good level of challenge without being frustrating and it is very satisfying to find ship parts, solve puzzles and overcome obstacles. Overall, it is a fun game that succeeds in what it tries to do, it will take around 3-5 hours to complete and is available at a very reasonable price for the amount of content. I’d happily recommend this to fans of the puzzle platformer genre and those that like their games with cats in! Been playing this in welsh. 1 I should probably go back to learning welsh. 2 proppa welsh translations are rare and I appreciate it. Will review properly once I've played more than the early levels have so far been enjoyable puzzle/platformer and I've headcannoned the space nostrils as french Diolch yn fawr1 found this helpful
Surprisingly good, far better than i expected. loads of weird fun moments, and clever puzzles. A few places require a bit too much patience, or can kill you and send you back to the start of a slow level, other than that i enjoyed and played through to the end1 found this helpful
As of writing, I finished the first boss, I don't usually play these sorts of super cutesy games but I saw this on a website for movie scripts and thought it looked cute and I have a soft spot for small indie creators so I got it. Overall it's a pretty cute game. I thought that the fact that you could place portals anywhere so long as the platform was visible might not have worked well but it did and maybe I am just dumb but I did get stuck a few times lol. There's some cute humor that got a few chuckles out of me and the Catoise is weirdly adorable. It has the vibes of those old flash games I'd play when I was young, it doesn't have any visuals that'll blow you away but I think they're fine. The gameplay is fun and the puzzles are decent, you really aren't gonna be wasting your money as it is just 5 bucks and supporting a smaller developer My one issue is that physics are sometimes a bit wonky, I had a lot of trouble with the basketball challenge with the anteater and the giant metal ball puzzle in the 5th level did confuse me a bit but those are pretty minor gripes Overall I'd recommend it if you want something that has the same vibes as old flash games1 found this helpful
