Chains of Freedom

I don't understand all the positive reviews for this game. People are always so critical of every game and every little flaw but this game gets a pass? The characters and the story were TERRIBLE, CRINGY AND PREDICTABLE. The best thing I could say about this game was the gameplay and even that was nothing special. Better Turn based games exist. Save yourself the money and time and get something else.

Its a nice tactical experience that scratches that xcom itch. You go through a linear campaign with decent maps, scrounch for ammo and crafting mats and find new weapons. The pacing of encounters and loot is rather good. So far i allways had what i needed on normal dificulty without getting everything i wanted and there is, so far allways a reason keep playing just a little longer. The "skill" system is fun too once you open up more skill slots. The story and the characters, while not great, are enough to give you a reason to be there. Only flaw i have seen so far, is the ability to waste character upgrade materials one someone who dies during the story. Oh and its optimized! These days thats worth mentioning. But aside from that its a good game. Looking forward to see more from this studio.

Solid squad tactics game. I'm really enjoying the story!

First of all: You can play the Demo and keep going from the save with the full game!! So far you got a voice over for all the dialogs and the story narrator. The game is a BBB-Title and so far fun to play. Use melee to save ammo and enjoy the ride... if you are not convinced so far play the Demo. Game is like Wasteland as a BBB-Title not AAA.
