Check My Papers

The year is 2027. The world as we knew it is gone. A year after the peak of the Great War, the surface is buried under radioactive ash. In this game, you take on the role of a checkpoint inspector in a shelter hidden deep underground.

Gameplay: Decide Who Survives

A constant stream of people arrives at your checkpoint, each with their own stories, professions, and intentions. Some seek safe haven, others employment, while some attempt to smuggle forbidden goods. As a checkpoint inspector, your task is to approve or deny entry based on their documents and physical state. Meticulously verify identity by checking photos, names, dates of birth, ID numbers, and the authenticity of stamps and seals. Cross-reference crucial biography details and educational backgrounds to catch inconsistencies.Utilize a portable dosimeter to detect dangerous radiation levels and compare readings against permissible thresholds. Ensure that your protocols are followed while accounting for varying roles and conditions of the refugees.

• Operate the X-ray scanner to identify contraband, weapons, radioactive materials, and other illegal substances concealed within belongings. Separate the safe items from the prohibited to keep the facility secure.
• Monitor CCTV camera feeds regularly to detect suspicious activities, blackouts, or objects. Respond promptly to alerts, as ignored warnings can lead to severe consequences.

Your actions carry significant weight, leading to various implications:

• Reputation: Build a reputation with your superiors based on discipline and performance, with the residents by showing compassion or toughness, and with the black market via "cooperation" or upholding integrity. Your choices sway alliances and outcomes.
• Economy: Manage your salary, handle fines and bounties, and cover essential expenses such as medicine, filters, and rations. Every mistake jeopardizes your dream of escaping to Siberia.
• Health: Constant exposure to the entrance and frequent inspections increase your radiation dose. Invest in shields, graphite/lead panels, and filters to mitigate risks, provided you can afford them.
• Moral Dilemmas: Face difficult moral choices. A sick child with valid papers, a veteran with a questionable badge, or a talented engineer with expired credentials. Choose between upholding the law or following your conscience.

Check My Papers is a tense and thought-provoking moral simulation about order and compassion in a world shattered by war. Your protocol is your conscience. Your decisions determine someone's life. Experience the survival game elements and immerse yourself into post-apocalyptic RPG world now!
