A classic for great fun, a virtual and improved chess game!
Your objective is to get the checkmate on the enemy king, but it will not be easy to get close to him with so many pieces involved to protect him.
The game also shows the possible moves with each piece, thus making it easier to play or even learn!
Put a time limit and win whoever knocks over pieces in less time, or put no time limit and the winner will be who can give the checkmate!
You can have fun with friends or with the whole family!

For the love of god. Don't buy it. You play vs yourself. There is no AI or online play. Just go to your local browser and go to chess.com DO NOT BUY13 found this helpful
I didn't know it was possible to make a bad game for something as simple as chess, but the developers of this game managed just that. It does not work on Linux with Proton (tested Proton 5.0-9 and 9.0-3), just throws an error and then loads infinitely.5 found this helpful
Checkmate! is a bare basic Chess game from shovelware merchants, Softwaves. These guys pump out asset/template flips and bare bones browser tier games in cheap game bundles. This is a cheap cash grab for a bare minimum game. While it's chess, there's no AI player, and no network multiplayer. You'd have to sit at the same PC as someone else and take turns using the mouse to make moves. Classy. It's impossible to recommend anyone should buy this shovelware garbage when you can play excellent chess games online for free.3 found this helpful

Checkmate! This game was made for remote play with your friends or when you have a friend over but you don't have a board to play on. You can play by yourself as well. Love the soundtrack. The game was worth it for the price of 0,39.1 found this helpful
